Genesis 2

I love how God lets Adam name all the animals; it’s like he wants his input. I think that’s one of the cool things about God. I believe God is excited to see what we are going to do. I believe he wants us to share our ideas, thoughts, our highs and lows with him. God loves and values us. He wants a relationship with us.

‘So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” ‘

I love Adam’s words when he first sees Eve: “At last!” He shouted, “At last”. I pray that we all look at our spouses like that. Wouldn’t the world be a better place? I think I’m going to start saying that when I see my wife. “At last!” This is it. Finished. The perfect helpmate. I don’t think she said “At last” when she first saw me; she probably said, “Man, that’s an old Accord he’s driving.”
