Exodus 10 and 11

Just as Pharaoh didn’t listen to God’s warnings in Exodus 10 and 11, we see history repeating itself today. Our “leadership” in the United States has been corrupt for decades. The highest bidder controls our so-called 2-party system. The rich and powerful divide and conquer the ordinary people and use our taxes to enrich themselves and their friends. We fight each other over whatever the controlled media tells us that we should be outraged by that day, while they rape, pillage, and ravage the world.

Not unlike Pharaoh, the “leaders” of this country abuse us; it now takes 2 people working ordinary jobs to have the lifestyle that 1 person could provide 50 years ago, and at the current pace, how long before it will take 3 or 4 people in the same house to get by? We feel this struggle every time we check our bank accounts. A lot of us are one medical problem away from financial destruction.

When was the last time our government actually did anything to help ordinary taxpayers? Like reducing the income tax or sales tax? European countries pay lower or the same taxes and have better infrastructure; they offer high-speed trains, free college, and free health care. Would a Christian nation spend as much money on its military as the next 9 countries combined? This is a moral question we shouldn’t ignore. The Bible calls us to help the poor and the vulnerable, seeking power and warfare over loving our neighbor is not the path we should be on.

‘Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.’
Matthew 5:9

Pray for our families and our country; elect leaders with integrity, who resist corruption. We need leaders who follow Christ and submit to his authority in our homes, workplaces, and government. We will never “Make America Great Again” until we “Make America Godly Again.” That starts with repenting, turning to Christ, submitting to his Lordship, and receiving the Holy Spirit’s guidance, along with Bible literacy.

In these troubling times, we have to remember that God is in control, that He has a plan for us, and that He deeply loves us.

‘³⁸And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. ³⁹No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
