Cleaning up with the S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method

The S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method: Begin with a prayer, inviting God’s guidance and support, asking the Holy Spirit to open your heart and mind to His truth, God’s perfect will. If a verse or scripture stands out or makes you pause, focus on it.

S – SCRIPTURE Write down the Bible verse. When we write things down, it helps us understand and remember.

O – OBSERVATION Take some time to notice the details. What stands out to you? Who was the message intended for? What main lesson is God speaking to you?

A – APPLICATION Think about how the verse relates to your life. What is God saying to me personally? How can you apply this teaching today?

P – PRAYER Finish your study with a prayer about what you’ve learned. Ask for help applying this lesson, and thank Him for His word and many blessings.
