Take heart, John 16

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

Jesus tells us plainly in John 16 that we will face many trials and sorrows; sometimes life sucks, and it can be brutal. During trials and sorrows, we need to fix our eyes on Jesus. We need to double down on getting closer to Christ and remember that Jesus is with us; take heart, he’s overcome the world. We need to be strong, courageous, and available to help those who are also going through dark paths in the valley. It’s imperative to be active members of a Christian community that helps others. Today’s scripture reminds me of the old song “God on the Mountain”.
